Why does a 1 TB drive show only ~931 GB?
Drive makers use decimal units (1 TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes) while operating systems often display binary units (1 TiB = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes). 1 TB = 0.909 TiB ≈ 931 GiB — nothing is missing.
